The course aims to teach the fundamentals of robotics through the integration of hardware and software. You will explore sensor functionality, block programming, robot logistics, design principles, real-world programming, and hardware tuning. The curriculum emphasizes the three pillars of robotics: perceiving the environment, making decisions based on that perception, and acting on those decisions in the real world. By covering topics such as intelligent vs. unintelligent design and direct vs. indirect programming, this course provides a comprehensive foundation in robotic systems.

Homework assignments will include weekly projects that can be completed and further developed independently between live classes. These tasks offer opportunities for self-exploration and enrichment at your own pace. Project outcomes will be shared during the subsequent week's session. Plan to dedicate 1-2 hours per week outside of class for these assignments.

Each student will require a computer equipped with a standard full-sized USB port for use. A webcam for live assistance (optional but highly recommended!)

Learners will only need to use the PeerCamp site; no additional apps or websites will be necessary.
