- The learning goals of a *Thillana* focus on mastering rhythmic precision, expressive movement, and coordination between *nritta* (pure dance) and *abhinaya* (expression).
- It helps dancers develop speed, grace, and agility through complex footwork patterns and dynamic choreography.
- A *Thillana* also enhances a dancer’s ability to maintain *tala* (rhythmic cycle) accuracy while conveying joy and energy, often concluding a Bharatanatyam or other classical Indian dance performance.
